Xiaomi recently held a special launch event to introduce the Redmi K50 series and K40s smartphones. Aside from the three phones, the business unveiled two new products: a 100-inch Redmi Max TV and a 15-inch Redmi Book Pro 2022 notebook.
Redmi Max 100 TV
The Redmi Max 100 is Xiaomi’s largest TV to date, replacing the 98′′ diagonal of the Redmi Smart TV Max 2020. With a screen diagonal of 2,540 mm, it is a complete home cinema replacement.
The LCD display has a 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and covers 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Additionally, Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD audio are supported. Wi-Fi 6 is also supported, and there are two HDMI 2.1 connectors on the TV.
When it comes to the audio configuration, the device comes with a dual 15W speaker arrangement for audio output. Xiaomi chose a quad-core processor with A73 performance cores, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage for the device.
MIUI for TV takes care of the software. In terms of cost, the Redmi Max 100 starts at CNY 19,999 ($3,150) in China, its home market.
RedmiBook Pro 2022
Among other things, Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship Redmi laptop, the RedmiBook Pro 2022. This model features Intel’s 12-generation core CPUs, an optional Nvidia RTX 2050 GPU, and a metal unibody design.
The display on the laptop is a 15-inch IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 16:10 aspect ratio.
There is also the option to configure the RedmiBook Pro 2022 with an Intel Core-i7 12650H processor or the i5-12450H trim.
Regardless of which variant you choose, you’ll get 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 storage as standard.
While the higher-end variants use Nvidia RTX 2050 GPUs with 4GB GDDR6 RAM, the entry-level i5 model includes Intel UHD graphics.
The laptop is powered by a 72Wh battery that charges at 100W rates, and the OS is Windows 11. Two Thunderbolt connections, two USB-A 3.2 ports, an HDMI 2.0 connector, an audio jack, and an SD card reader round out the connectivity possibilities.
The RedmiBook Pro 2022 with a Core-i5 processor and an Intel UHD graphics card will cost CNY 5,299 ($834). The Core-i7 model with the dedicated RTX 2050 GPU will cost CNY 7,199 ($1,133).
The company also announced that an AMD 6000H CPU version of the RedmiBook Pro 2022 will be available later this year.
