Details about the upcoming Xiaomi 14 are slowly emerging, which will retain its general aesthetic but include several enhancements. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, according to leakster Digital Chat Station.
Xiaomi 14 New Updates
This generation will reportedly offer up to 1 TB of storage, a significant increase from the Xiaomi 13’s maximum 512 GB.
The standard Xiaomi 14 will have a 4,860 mAh battery and support 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, which is an upgrade from the previous 4,500mAh 67/50W.
- Camera Updates
The schematics for the phone show a familiar design with a square-like camera module nestled in the top left corner.
However, instead of the previous three sensors, it will now accommodate four. According to DCS, the main camera will have a 50MP 1/1.28′′ sensor, up from a 50MP 1/1.49′′ sensor.
It will be accompanied by a “medium-telephoto” camera, likely with a standard lens like its predecessor, but with a potential optical zoom greater than the previous model’s 3.2x.
There is currently no indication of what the fourth sensor might be (the third sensor is, of course, the ultra-wide camera).
- Processor
Xiaomi’s flagship series is typically unveiled near the end of the year, coinciding with the initial availability of the next Snapdragon 8 chip.
As a result, the mi 14 and its variants are still several months away (the Pro model will be available, but the Ultra model’s release date is unknown).
