The race to develop the fastest charging technology for cellphones is as fierce as ever. The Realme GT Neo 3 is now the world’s fastest charging phone, capable of charging at a whopping 150W. In barely 5 minutes, it fills to 50% capacity.
This charger was just certified in China, and according to Digital Chat Station, it will be released alongside the iQOO 10 Pro smartphone. By the end of 2022, the phone should be available.
The enormous 200W charging port will be capable of delivering 20V at 10A and 20V at 3.25A, which converts to 65W for wireless chargers.
The current iQOO 9 Pro has a 120W wired charging capacity and a 50W wireless charging capacity.
It’s worth noting that the 200W fast charging speed isn’t really groundbreaking. Several companies, including Xiaomi and Oppo, have shown off the technology in public demonstrations, but it has yet to be seen on a commercially available smartphone.
As things stand, Vivo may be the first to market, but its competitors aren’t going to take it lying down.
