Blizzard is generating at least $1 million per day from Diablo Immortal, which Metacritic users continue to rank as the worst game ever. In its first month after release, Diablo Immortal made close to $50 million.
By day 30 following its June 2 release, Diablo Immortal had made $48.9 million, according to AppMagic figures cited by MobileGamer.biz. The actual amount players spent during this time period on the game would have been significantly greater because this figure just includes the money that went to Blizzard and excludes the 30% commission that Apple and Google each took.
In its first month, Diablo Immortal also managed to get 10 million downloads, albeit it should be noted that the majority of these occurred in the first four days of the game’s release, with a dramatic fall in downloads after that time. Although Diablo Immortal still earns more over $1 million every single day now, its revenue stream peaked on June 11 at $2.4 million.
While Respawn Entertainment’s game had 21.8 million downloads, Apex Legends Mobile brought in $11.6 million for EA in the first 30 days.
Despite having the lowest user score (0.3) for a PC game in Metacritic ever, Diablo Immortal made almost $24 million in its first two weeks, according to reports reported last month. It continues to keep that undesirable status and is currently ranked 12,490 among users.
