According to recent reports, WhatsApp is preparing to enter the world of cinema and entertaining over-the-top (OTT) content with the release of its first original short film, Naija Odyssey. Yes, the Meta-owned company is planning to release an original short film on both Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. The WhatsApp Short Film will be available on September 21, 2022.
WhatsApp Short Film Will Last 12 Minutes
According to recent reports, WhatsApp’s upcoming short film will be about NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was born in Greece to Nigerian parents. The short film is based on the Greek epic poem ‘The Odyssey.’
It is the first time WhatsApp has directly entered the world of entertaining visual content. This 12-minute short film will also be available on Meta’s YouTube channel. So don’t be concerned! If you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription, you can watch it on YouTube.
