To commemorate Wendell Scott’s legendary and revolutionary life and legacy, Wendell Scott Ventures will introduce and sell a series of historic NFTs.
Wendell Scott became the first African American NASCAR driver to win a Grand National race, the sport’s top level, on December 1, 1963. The NFTs were created by WorldwideXR and VueXR to share Scott’s awe-inspiring life and remarkable work with the globe, and will debut through a series of events.
On February 12, Authentik Studios will conduct a live auction at The Wendell Scott Foundation’s annual Legacy Gala at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, followed by a wider release on March 6th with the premier NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway.
The NFTs will showcase one-of-a-kind augmented reality creations that highlight the life, career, and significance of the man who broke NASCAR’s colour barrier, as well as the centennial of Wendell Scott’s birth, the 58th Anniversary of Wendell Scott’s First NASCAR triumph, and Black History Month.
A 3D reproduction of his first-ever NASCAR championship trophy (Jacksonville 200) is among the AR artefacts, as is a special edition Black History Month 3D collage showcasing a trinity of black sports stars, which will be revealed during the Gala.
The limited-edition NFT will include Authentik’s SILO digital frame, which will allow users to display their NFTs at home.
The NFT media offers a new way to convey stories that combine education and pleasure, with the NFTs themselves serving as living historical pieces.
