Despite the fact that 2022 is quickly approaching, Vivo has launched the Y52 5G. (2022). To add to the confusion, it is the same as the original Vivo Y52 5G, which was released last year. This one is currently only available in Taiwan, but it should be available in other regions soon.
Design and Display
The phone is built around a 6.58-inch 1080p IPS LCD, but there is no support for a high refresh rate. It has a 96% NTSC color gamut and a fingerprint sensor on the side phone atop the power button. A waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and a thick bottom bezel is present.
Software and storage
The Y52 5G (2022) is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 SoC, which is roughly equivalent in performance to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 series of chips.
This model, like the original, has a single memory variant with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. A microSD card can be used to expand storage. In terms of software, it runs Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 on top.
Cameras
The primary sensor is a 48MP 1/2.0′′ sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It supports PDAF and can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
A 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots are among the secondary sensors. The waterdrop notch houses an 8MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording support.
Pricing and Battery
The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh, and it supports 18W fast charging. The Vivo Y52 5G (2022) will be available for $250 in Dark Night and Glacier Blue color options.
