Vivo has launched the X100 series in China on time. The Vivo X100 Pro leads the lineup, with what appears to be the world’s most powerful zoom camera smartphone at the time of writing.
The X100 is also available at a lower price point and largely shares the same specifications.
Vivo X100 and X100 Pro Price
The X100 Pro is priced at CNY 4999 (approximately Rs 198,000). The X100 is priced at CNY 3999 (approximately Rs. 158,100).
The X100 series will compete with the Xiaomi 14 series, and based on past experience, we can expect it to be released in Pakistan in the upcoming months.
Specifications
The new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 4-nanometer chipset powers both the X100 Pro and the X100.
They both have the same 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution, 120Hz AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
They’re both IP68 water and dust resistant, with an in-display fingerprint reader for biometrics.
Cameras are obviously their main selling point.
Rear Cameras
Both phones include ZEISS tuning and T* lens coating to reduce flare and ghosting in low-light situations with spots of light, such as street lighting at night.
With a 50-megapixel 1-inch IMX989 VCS bionic sensor paired to an f/1.75 aperture lens with optical image stabilization, the Vivo X100 Pro takes the cake.
Another 50-megapixel ultrawide with a 150-degree field of view and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 4.3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom certified by ZEISS APO.
The Vivo X100’s 50-megapixel 1/ 1.49-inch IMX920 VCS bionic sensor is paired with an f/1.57 aperture lens with optical image stabilization and a 64-megapixel f/2.57 aperture telephoto aperture for 3x optical zoom. It also has the same 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.
According to the smartphones manufacturer, the zoom cameras in the Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 can capture telephoto macros.
Front Camera and Storage
Both phones have the same 32-megapixel front camera, as well as a top-tier model with insane 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS4.0 storage.
The Vivo X100 Pro has a 5,400mAh battery and supports 120W fast wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
The Vivo X100 has a 5,000mAh battery and only supports 120W fast wired charging.
The show is powered by the Origin OS 4 software, which is based on Android 14. Funtouch OS should be used in all models sold globally.
