The Vivo X100 series is set to make its debut in China on November 13 at 4 p.m. Pakistan time. This date and time were officially announced during a presentation at the Vivo Developer Conference, which also saw the debut of China-only Origin OS 4.
Debut of Vivo X100 Series
The event will also feature the Vivo Watch 3 with Blue OS, though specifics about this new wearable operating system are currently scarce.
This is the second time Vivo has publicly confirmed the existence of the X100, but it is the first time we have an official launch date.
Previously, we saw a glimpse of the phone’s design in a post by a company executive, discovered a benchmark on AnTuTu that revealed specifications such as 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and the Dimensity 9300 chipset, and also noticed the 3C 120W charging certification.
Only the Chinese variant will have Origin OS 4, while the global version will continue to use Funtouch OS. The Dimensity 9300 SoC may also be replaced in the global version by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro are expected to be the first two phones in the series. Furthermore, a Pro+ variant is expected to join the lineup at the start of the next year.
The distinction between these models is unclear, but given its name, the Pro+ is clearly going to be the series’ top dog.
Little is known about the upcoming Vivo Watch 3’s specifications or design. For the time being, we only know that it will look similar to the Google Pixel Watch.
As the teaser campaign progresses, more information should become available.
