Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) faced many delays and cancellations. These happened at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. PIA did not say why this happened.
Flight PK 300 from Karachi to Islamabad faced a big delay. It got delayed by six hours and twenty minutes. It will now leave at 1:20 PM.
Flight PK 301 from Islamabad to Karachi also got delayed. It got delayed by six hours and ten minutes. It will now land in Karachi at 6:15 PM.
The flight from Karachi to Sui also faced a delay. This flight got delayed by two hours and ten minutes.
PIA canceled many flights too. These canceled flights are:
- Flight PK 302 from Karachi to Lahore
- Flight PK 303 from Lahore to Karachi
- Flight PK 307 from Lahore to Karachi
- Flight PK 502 from Gwadar to Karachi
- Flight PK 503 from Karachi to Gwadar
- Flight PK 504 from Gwadar to Karachi
Passengers should check for updates often. They should plan their travel well.
Just 2 Businesses Show Enthusiasm for Acquiring PIA
Only two Gulf companies show interest in PIA. Foreign firms do not want PIA’s majority share. These two Gulf companies paid $5,000 for documents.
They have not submitted their bids. The bid deadline is May 3.
Privatisation Commission may extend the deadline. The extension could be one month. Roadshows for PIA privatisation were unsuccessful.
PIA asked for 30 more days for its annual meeting.
The airline applied to the SECP for a delay.
They cited incomplete financial accounts and an audit. PIA explained the delay to shareholders.
