FIR Registered
Prior to this development, a first information report (FIR) filed after a large fire inside the RJ Mall on Karachi’s Rashid Minhas Road claimed the lives of almost a dozen people, naming K-Electric (KE), builders, and other departments.
According to officials, a fire that broke out inside the RJ Shopping Mall a day earlier due to a suspected short circuit resulted in at least 11 deaths and five burn injuries.
Initially starting on the fourth floor, the fire spread to other floors.
According to the officials, the lack of ventilation in the building was the reason behind the deaths.
At the Sharah-e-Faisal Police Station, Sub Inspector Sadaruddin Mirani filed the FIR.
