In order to solve issues with worldwide public relations, branding, and marketing for accelerated growth of IT and ITeS exports, the Federal Government has decided to launch a Technology Marketing Export Program.
According to documents made available, the Federal Government chose to begin this program using financing from the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) following suggestions from the Ministry of ICT and Telecommunication.
The document states that a thorough feasibility analysis of the top export destinations will be created in 6 months in order to develop the framework for the technology marketing export program.
IT Exports Feasibility Analysis
The top 10 countries for IT export destinations will be considered in the study, along with the development and costing of the program’s many components, duration, implementation strategy, and action plan methodology.
Once the feasibility study is finished, PC-1 will be produced as an action plan.
The MoITT claims that participation in international events is essential for giving Pakistan’s IT and ITeS enterprises networking and business growth possibilities.
The promotion of Pakistan’s industry as a viable and practical location for outsourcing and investment depends on international events.
The Ministry of IT claims that Pakistan Software Export Board supports and enables IT businesses’ participation in significant trade shows, which generates business leads and contracts.
In addition to GITEX Dubai, Mobile World Congress, LEAP Saudi Arabia, London Tech Week, Collision Canada, Game Development Conference San Francisco, Digi Tech Summit Denmark, China Hi-Tech Fair, and Japan IT Week, a significant number of IT companies also took part in these international events with the assistance of PSEB.
According to MoITT, PSEB initiated the Tech Destination Pakistan campaign with the intention of branding and marketing the local IT industry on international platforms in order to increase foreign investment, generate revenue, and improve IT exports.
The Tech Destination website was created to take the position of the PSEB website and feature numerous dedicated portals to market Pakistan as a top location for outsourcing tech and services.
