Along with the new ODI World Cup 2023 schedule, the International Cricket Council (ICC) also disclosed the date for tickets sales on Wednesday.
The first part begins on August 25 while the final phase, which includes entry for the knockout stages, begins on September 5. Tickets for the World Cup match between India and Pakistan will be distributed on September 3.
The rights are anticipated to be acquired by bookmyshow, an online ticket provider.
To manage the uncontrollable demand, the sale of passes will happen in stages. With the exception of India, every teams’ sales will begin on August 25.
Beginning on August 30, fans can buy passes for India’s pre-tournament games in Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati.
The next day, passes will go on sale for India’s matches against Australia in Chennai on October 8, Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11, and Bangladesh in Pune on October 19.
On September 1, the general public will be able to purchase passes for the home teams’ games against New Zealand on October 22, England on October 29, and Sri Lanka on November 2 in Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
The ones for the matches in Kolkata (against South Africa, November 5) and Bengaluru (against the Netherlands, November 12) will begin on September 2.
Tickets will eventually go on sale on September 3 for the most popular event, India vs. Pakistan in Ahmedabad on October 14. The semifinals and final passess to purchase would start on September 15.
