The GT 2, Realme’s next flagship series, will be available in just few hours. The Realme GT 2 Pro will be the company’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone, although it will be available alongside the regular GT 2 as well.
Digital Chat Station, a tipster, has given full specifications for the flagship-grade handset just hours before its unveiling. The phone would include a 6.6-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole front camera, according to the Chinese tip. The fingerprint sensor will be located underneath the screen.
The vanilla model, unlike its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 sibling, will enhance the former flagship, the Snapdragon 888, with a 5,000 mAh inbuilt battery that supports 65W super-fast charging. It will come pre-installed with Android 11 and Realme UI 3.0. The phone will most likely receive two years’ worth of OS upgrades and three years’ worth of security fixes.
A 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor will be the primary camera on the back, combined with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP selfie camera will be included into the punch-hole.
In China, the Realme GT 2 series will be officially launched later today. Realme’s first premium flagship phone, the GT 2 Pro, will check all the boxes of a high-end handset.
To find out how it turns out, we’ll have to wait till the formal announcement.
