Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI), and Fareena Mazhar, Secretary of the BOI, paid a visit to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) headquarters in Islamabad yesterday.
They met with Maj General Amir Azeem Bajwa (R), Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA), to discuss government policies in the ICT industry.
During the discussion, topics such as new investment potential in the telecom and related industries were covered. According to the Chairman of the PTA, Pakistan is one of the most attractive markets for local and global investors looking for new ways to participate in the Information Communications Technologies (ICT) sector because of government policies and regulatory systems.
Both parties agreed to keep cooperating to promote investment in Pakistan.
