By the end of June 2023, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had recorded a total of $6.35 billion in incoming foreign currency through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs).
Data from the central bank shows that as of the end of June, $1.452 billion had been brought home, while $3.77 billion had been put to use in the country. A total of $5.229 billion has been repatriated and put to use, with a net repatriable obligation of $1.121 billion.
In June, $127 million was received and $24 million was sent back home. There was a total of $115 million in local expenditures. As of the end of June, the net repatriable liabilities was $12 million.
New Roshan Digital Accounts opened
There have been 585,885 RDAs opened since they were introduced, which represents a rise of 1.9% month-over-month.
There were $716 million worth of RDA net investments made between September 2020 and June 2023. There were $321 million in conventional NPC investments and $377 million in Islamic NPC investments as of the end of 2016. An equity investment round by Roshan totaled $18 million. A total of $385,000,000 in Account Balances and $20,000,000 in Other Liabilities were reported.
