Netflix and game developer Tender Claws have announced a Stranger Things VR game that will be available on all VR platforms in winter 2023.
Tender Claws is at the top of the VR game development list, with titles such as the virtual pet game app TendAR, The Under Presents, Tempest, and the Virtual Virtual Reality series. The company is now collaborating with Netflix to develop a Stranger Things VR game.
Stranger Things is without a doubt Netflix’s most popular TV show ever, thanks to its awe-inspiring plot, nostalgic 1980s setting, and stunning visuals.
According to a press release, the game will allow players to play as Season 4 villain Vecna and “enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.”
The announcement video showed players exploring unknown realities while forming the hive mind and taming the void.
In the psychological horror/action game, players will be able to “invade minds and conjure nightmares.”
Previous games based on Netflix’s flagship series, such as Stranger Things: The VR Experience and Stranger Things 3: The Game, have been released.
According to source, Tender Claws previously created the VR games Virtual Reality 1 and 2, as well as the “mobile AR virtual pet Tendar, and immersive theatrical adventures The Under Presents and Tempest.”
