However, it is unknown who controls the communication infrastructure in that area, and no local facility has requested a connection as of yet.
The Gaza power outage, which began on Friday night, has had a negative impact on life-saving activities and communication for humanitarian groups.
SpaceX has not yet specified how they will ensure that the Starlink connection is only used by aid organizations and not by others.
In another case, despite efforts by authorities to disrupt the internet, Starlink satellites were critical in maintaining internet access in some regions following a significant event in February 2022.
