Sony has revealed the actual launch date for its next camera-focused “mid-ranger,” the Xperia 5 V, following a leaked promo video last month. We can only hope that the next one isn’t dubbed the Xperia 5 5 5.
Sony’s Xperia 5 V
The phone will be available in Japan on September 1st. The live stream will begin at 12 p.m. Pakistan time on YouTube.
The brief preview video emphasises the phone’s remarkable camera skills, which excel in both daylight and nighttime photography.
Dual camera system
The Xperia 5 V will include a dual camera system, as shown in a leaked promotional film from the previous month.
The promotional video also verified the phone’s overall design.
The unusual twin camera configuration will make the Xperia 5 V look like a different phone for the first time in a long time.
Take a look at the screenshots below:
Although the rear will be redesigned, the front will remain the same, with typical bezels housing the front camera, earpiece, and other sensors.
The headphone jack, thankfully, remains, and we believe it will remain on Sony phones for the foreseeable future.
Furthermore, according to a listing on Geekbench, the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and could offer up to 16 GB of RAM.
Rapid charging tech
A previous certification from China’s 3C organisation confirmed the use of 33W rapid charging technology.
