Sir Vivian Richards, a West Indian legend, has said that Babar Azam is an inspiration to the younger generation. The mentor of the Quetta Gladiators appreciated Babar Azam’s batsmanship.
Viv Richards gushed about Pakistan skipper Babar Azam in an interview with Cricket Pakistan. He described the 27-year-old as a role model for young players aspiring to be great batsmen. According to the West Indian legend and former batter, “Any young player looking to take inspiration from players, take some from Babar because he doesn’t try and hit every ball for six. Instead, he is all about finding the gaps. Babar is one of the best in achieving this.”
“Babar is a class act,” the former batter added, praising the Karachi Kings captain’s superb technique. Viv Richards praised the great batter’s technique and compared him to Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxer.
