Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has made a huge contribution to the development of young cricketers in Karachi by creating the L. A. Boom Boom Cricket Academy.
Afridi’s L . A Cricket Academy
Shahid Afridi claimed on his social media account that his academy was created in cooperation with Legends Arena and will provide prospective cricketers with a place to perfect their abilities.
I will be running my cricket academy, L. A Boom Boom Cricket Academy, which will provide the highest level of coaching and training to young cricketers. Legends Arena offers state-of-the-art pitches approved by the English Cricket Board, providing an ideal platform for aspiring cricketers to hone their skills.
The former all-rounder added that they will concentrate on developing the talents of young and aspiring cricketers under the supervision of highly qualified coaches and trainers.
Earlier this year, Afridi set the groundwork for a new cricket academy in Quetta’s Sariab Sports Complex, which would be run by the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
He founded the Mega Star League (MSL) last year, which included former cricketers such as Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq, and Inzamam-ul-Haq.
It is worth noting that the 46-year-old served as interim Chief Selector, during which time he took major strides to improve the national team.
Shahid Afridi, a former player and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to send a team to Pakistan to compete in the Asia Cup.
In 2023, Pakistan is scheduled to host the Asia Cup, however the tournament may be moved to a “neutral venue” if the BCCI decides that its members would not tour the country.
“India’s attendance would have been much appreciated. India may have taken a positive move towards cricket and Pakistan. Not this generation; they don’t do battle. In an effort to improve our connections with one another, “On the fringes of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) in Qatar, Afridi gave this statement to the press.
“If we try to make conversation with someone we’d like to be friends with and he ignores us, what can we do? The BCCI is undeniably an impressive governing body, but with great power comes great responsibility. Instead than trying to get more enemies, focus on gaining friends.
Making new acquaintances is a great way to boost your confidence and social standing. The other day I met Raina and requested for a bat, and he handed it to me. I still have friends on the Indian squad, and when we get together we talk “Furthermore, the player said.
India constantly pushes back to play in Pakistan
Note that on the same day that India announced they will not send a team to the 2023 Asia Cup in Pakistan, Pakistani cricket authorities intimated they would skip tp play the next year’s World Cup in India.
Jay Shah, president of the Asian Cricket Council and secretary of the BCCI, declared that India “can’t” send a team to Pakistan and that the competition would be shifted to a neutral venue.
Officials in Pakistan were taken aback by his comments and expressed concern that they could “split” the world cricket community.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and subsequent ICC Events in India in the 2024-2031 cycle may be affected by Shah’s comments, the PCB warned.
Although numerous international teams have visited Pakistan in the past, the famous player dismissed the idea that the country is not a secure place for sports.
“With regards to the safety of visiting overseas playing teams in Pakistan, we have recently welcomed a large number of such groups. In the past, we had to worry about security risks from India as well, but now, all we need is approval from both countries’ governments and we can go on tour. We will give them another go if the tour is cancelled. What they really want is for things to be silent between them “To elaborate, he said.
