Samsung is developing a Galaxy Watch FE, pointing to a 2024 model with an unprecedented emphasis on the “FE” edition of its devices.
This speculation is supported by recent rumours of not only a Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE, but also the release of the S24 FE.
According to reports, the Galaxy Watch FE will have specifications similar to the 2021 Galaxy Watch4, which may not appear to be a promising comparison at first glance.
Earlier rumours suggested the release of a Galaxy Watch4 (2024) model; however, plans appear to have shifted, with the device now expected to be known as the Galaxy Watch FE.
The Galaxy Watch FE will be available worldwide, with model numbers SM-R866F, SM-R866U, and SM-R866N corresponding to different regions.
While the device’s exact specifications are unknown, it is expected to closely resemble the features of the Galaxy Watch4.
Furthermore, it is expected to launch at a lower price point than the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series. This aligns the Galaxy Watch FE with Apple’s strategy with the Apple Watch SE, which aims to broaden the consumer base for wearable technology by providing a more affordable alternative.
