Along with the new Redmi Turbo 3, Realme has launched its rival phone in China, the GT Neo 6 SE. Even though it has a weaker Snapdragon chip, the GT Neo 6 SE outperforms the Redmi Turbo 3 in terms of battery life, screen brightness, and a few other features.
Design and Display
The GT Neo 6 SE’s display is slightly taller than the Redmi Turbo 3, measuring 6.78 inches (vs. 6.67 inches), with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It features a curved LTPO OLED panel with a peak brightness of 6000 nits for HDR content and an in-display fingerprint sensor. BOE made the panel, which is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Internals & Software
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 on the GT Neo 6 SE is not a bad processor, but it falls short of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 on the Redmi Turbo 3. It has the same 16 GB RAM but only supports 512 GB of storage space (vs 1 TB). The phone runs Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 out of the box.
Cameras
The 50MP main camera on the back is based on Sony’s IMX882 sensor and features OIS for stable photos and videos. This is paired with a single 8MP ultrawide camera. These are capable of recording 4K video at 60 FPS. The 32MP selfie camera can also record 4K resolution videos, but only at 30 frames per second.
Battery and Pricing
Realme GT Neo 6 SE also outperforms in terms of battery specifications, with a larger 5,500 mAh cell and slightly faster 100W wired charging. The Redmi Turbo 3 features a 5,000 mAh battery and 90W wired charging.
The phone starts at $248 in China, which is nearly identical to the Redmi Turbo 3. It is available in both green and silver colours.
