Musk announced the launch of his perfume line on Twitter on Wednesday, joking that with a name like his, getting into the fragrance business was “inevitable.” He even renamed his Twitter handle “Perfume Salesman.”
The “omnigender perfume” costs PKR 21921 (USD $100) and is described as smelling like “The Essence of Repugnant Desire.” The perfume’s website describes it as “just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work.”
Since April, Musk’s bid to buy Twitter has taken many turns. So far, he has accepted and rejected a seat on Twitter’s board, attempted to take the company private, and attempted to back out of the deal entirely.
The Tesla CEO has resurrected his original $54.20 per share offer for the company, valued at $44 billion, after previously claiming that he was justified in terminating the agreement due to alleged terms violations by Twitter.
A US court delayed the Twitter trial last week to give Musk more time to complete his purchase of the social media platform. Musk anticipates that it will happen by October 28.
