On Monday, a unique website was opened to allow Punjabi scholars, scientists, and IT industry professionals to register as Web3 contributors.
Through the platform, national and international businesses using Web3 technology will also be able to provide their insightful input.
The webpage was unveiled during the inaugural meeting of the powerful committee Parvez Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, had assembled to discuss the adoption of Web3 in the region. Punjab Information Technology (IT) Minister Dr. Arslan Khalid and Finance Minister Mohsin Leghari presided over the meeting, which was place at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP).
The provincial finance minister gave his opinion on the matter, stating that full adoption of Web3 would result in more employment possibilities, which would spur economic growth and an increase in GDP.
“The new technology will primarily benefit tourism, education, government services, retail, and real estate,” he continued.
Blockchain, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, according to the Punjab IT minister, are the foundation of Web3 and give internet consumers more personalization and security.
“Adoption of Web3 in the province will facilitate more interactivity between different users and websites enabling them to access content from multiple sources at the same time, without having to leave the website they are surfing at any point in time,” he added.
