The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has ordered a major upgrade of schools in an effort to improve both the educational quality and administrative effectiveness of schools.
This important decision was made during a meeting that was held on Thursday at the Chief Minister’s office.
Punjab Schools Upgradation Main Goal
The main goal of the meeting was to develop plans for enhancing the infrastructure of current schools in order to improve education.
The school upgrade plan was put into motion with Mohsin Naqvi’s blessing, highlighting the importance of a well-executed action plan.
The consensus decision to refer to the elevated government schools as “Punjab Public Schools” was a crucial component of this endeavor.
It was emphasized during the briefing that a concerted effort will be made to improve the standard of education by upgrading one girls’ and one boys’ school in every division, with a total of 216 public schools across Punjab scheduled for improvement.
An extended training session is planned to be held at prestigious universities like LUMS and UMT in order to empower and equip teachers in model schools.
This project’s main objective is to close the educational and administrative gap between prestigious private colleges and public schools.
In order to support the improved schools, the expertise of highly competent visiting educators will be sought.
Upgradation of Physical Infrastructure of Schools
Notably, a focus will be made on updating the physical infrastructure, which includes the buildings, classrooms, and labs, to modern standards.
Under the guidance of the Danish School Authority, a separate division will be established to manage the administrative operations of the recently founded Punjab Public Schools.
This specialized wing will be in charge of making sure the enhanced schools’ administrative operations run without a hitch.
The Chief Secretary, the Secretaries of Finance, the Secretaries of Schools, and other important individuals attended the crucial conference and worked together to advance this revolutionary educational program.
