According to a local TV channel, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) slashed costs for domestic flights by 10% during the Eid ul Fitr holidays on Thursday.
Domestic passengers of PIA going on April 22 and 23 can take advantage of this 10% discount.
Aviation Minister’s Orders to the PIA CEO for Fares Concession
After Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique given precise orders to the PIA CEO, the Eid ul Fitr package was disclosed.
The federal government had previously issued a notification for the Eid holidays. According to the announcement, Pakistanis will take a five-day holiday from April 21 to April 25 to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
According to scientific calculations, Eidul Fitr will most likely fall on April 22 (Saturday). The Central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee, on the other hand, will meet on the evening of April 20 (Ramazan 29) to collect proof of the Shawwal crescent sighting.
The new crescent will be born around 9:13 a.m. on April 20 and will be less than 10 hours old that day, making it exceedingly unlikely that Eid ul Fitr would fall on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Eid ul Fitr 2023 would most likely be commemorated on April 22, following the completion of Ramazan’s 30 days of fasting.
Pakistan is now observing Ramazan, which began simultaneously in most parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States.
Because of the possibility of seeing the Shawaal moon on April 20, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States may mark Eid on April 21.
