The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration has decided to provide complimentary Wi-Fi access in Peshawar’s public parks.
A session chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur focused on improving the aesthetic appeal of the provincial capital.
During this session, the CM also instructed the concerned authorities to expedite the finalisation of arrangements and formally present the complimentary Wi-Fi service proposal for approval by the provincial administration.
Furthermore, the chief minister directed the Peshawar Development Authority to develop a comprehensive plan for improving the city’s beauty.
Aside from free Wi-Fi and beauty enhancements, the KP government has decided to further assist Peshawar residents by launching a Bus Rapid Transit service on Nasir Bagh Road in the provincial capital. This should help to improve public transport in the city.
Furthermore, the city’s street lights are set to be converted to solar-powered bulbs soon, and CM Gandapur has called for the construction of more underpasses rather than overhead bridges.
The CM directed that construction begin on the pending segment of the Warsak-Nasir Bagh Road, as well as necessary repairs along the BRT Corridor that encircles the University Road.
In order to achieve these goals, the KP chief minister emphasised the importance of seeking cooperation from private entities.
