Japan took first place, with its citizens having access to 193 places using their passports.
Following Germany and Spain, whose passports have a visa-free score of 190, come Singapore and South Korea, whose passports grant access to 192 nations.
The majority of the top-ranked nations are from Europe, along with the US and the UK.
India is rated 87th out of all Asian nations, ahead of Tajikistan, and Mauritius, and with access to 67 nations through its passport.
The rating, which was initially developed by Christian H. Kaelin (chairman of Henley & Partners), is founded on unique information from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which manages the largest and most precise database of travel-related data on the planet.
