Pakistan’s cotton yarn exports to China increased by 65.85 percent in the first quarter of 2024, reaching $166.37 million. Cotton yarn imports totaled $65.78 million, up from $26.28 million in the same period last year.

Sajjad Mazahir, General Manager of China Operations Keywin Trading Ltd, told China Economic Net (CEN) that China’s increasing demand for Pakistan cotton textiles is due to the country’s industry’s balance with both exports and local.
China’s Domestic Market
He stated that while Pakistan’s textile products were once only in demand for exports, they have since gained a significant market share in China’s domestic market.
He stated that Pakistan currently supplies cotton, cotton yarns, and Griege fabric. Many customers prefer them because of their competitive pricing and high quality.
It was reported that Pakistan’s cement exports increased by 45.96 percent in April 2024 when compared to the same month the previous year.
All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association
The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, cement exports totaled 614,264 tonnes in April 2024, up from 420,857 tonnes in the same month the previous year.
To the data, cement exports increased by 65.35 percent in the first ten months of the current fiscal year (2023-24), totaling 5.715 million tonnes.
