The Pakistani rupee rose against the US dollar for the third day in a row today, opening at 288.5 in the interbank market.
Pakistani Rupee Gains Today in The Interbank
However, at 11:30 PM, it was bullish, trading at 287 against the US dollar after losing Rs. 2 earlier in the day.
Later, between 1:30 and 2:30 PM, the interbank rate rose to 285 before anchoring trends for the rest of the day.
Moreover, today’s open market rates across multiple currency counters were in the 285-288 range.
After gaining 53 paisas against the dollar today, the PKR gained 0.19 percent to close at 285.9.
Today was the third consecutive day that the rupee closed in the green.
Since January 2023, the rupee has lost nearly Rs. 69. It has lost over Rs. 116 against the US dollar since April 2022.
According to today’s exchange rate movements, the PKR has gained nearly 53 paisas against the dollar.
Other Currencies Exchange Rates
In the interbank market today, the PKR was trading in the red against the majority of the other major currencies. It gained 14 paisas when compared to the Saudi Riyal (SAR) and 14 paisas when compared to the UAE Dirham (AED).
In today’s interbank currency market, it lost 61 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), Rs. 2.11 against the Euro (EUR), Rs. 2.22 against the British Pound (GBP), and Rs. 2.23 against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
