The Pakistan Army successfully tested the Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile, which is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads up to a range of 2,750 kilometers.
According to Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the test flight was intended to re-validate the weapon system’s different design and technical parameters.
The launch was seen by the DG Strategic Plans Division (SPD), Lt. Gen. Nadeem Zaki Manj, Chairman NESCOM, Dr. Raza Samar, Commander Army Strategic Force Command, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali, senior SPD officers, and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.
DG SPD, Lt. Gen. Nadeem Zaki Manj, addressed the ceremony and commended the scientists and engineers for reaching dynamic design and development capabilities, as well as expressing his complete trust in Pakistan’s nuclear deterrence capability.
Lt. Gen. Nadeem Zaki Manj praised the technical prowess, passion, and commitment of scientists and engineers who worked tirelessly to ensure the missile launch’s success.
The President of Pakistan Arif Alvi (Now ex-president), Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan (Now ex-PM after no-confidence motion), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and all Service Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on their accomplishment.
