Karachi, August 6, 2025: The premier edition of the Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC-2025) is scheduled to take place from 03-06 November 2025 at the Karachi Expo Centre. The event aims to showcase the latest technology trends in the maritime sector and provide a platform for entrepreneurs, R&D specialists, financial experts, and policymakers to foster cooperation in business partnerships and joint ventures.
PIMEC-2025 is being organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy. The expo is expected to serve as a key forum for promoting the Blue Economy and enhancing Pakistan’s maritime potential.
Second Steering Committee Meeting Held for PIMEC-2025
The Second Steering Committee Meeting of PIMEC-2025 was held on 06th August 2025 at the Chief Minister’s House, Karachi, chaired by Mr. Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh. The meeting was attended by representatives from Federal Ministries, Government of Sindh departments, Pakistan Army, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), and Badar Expo Solutions (the co-organizer of PIMEC).
The session aimed to coordinate event-related aspects with stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of this mega maritime event in line with international standards.
Chief Minister Stresses Importance of PIMEC for Blue Economy
In his address, Chief Minister Sindh emphasized that PIMEC-2025 is a crucial initiative to promote Pakistan’s maritime potential and harness the benefits of the Blue Economy. He underscored that the success of the event depends on the collective support of government departments, the business community, and the people of Karachi.
Expressing optimism, he stated that PIMEC-2025 will not only emerge as a flagship event for the maritime sector but will also contribute to economic growth and enhance Pakistan’s soft image globally.
Stakeholders Pledge Full Support for PIMEC-2025
During the meeting, all participating government organizations and departments reaffirmed their full support for the successful execution of PIMEC-2025, ensuring it meets its objectives of fostering maritime trade, innovation, and international collaboration.
