The National Information Technology Board (NITB) and the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) have launched an online tool to help parents of differently abled children communicate with the world around them.
According to reports, the National IT Board is integrating roughly 30,000 out-of-school differently abled youngsters into the educational system.
It will help students choose appropriate educational institutions near their home, allowing them to apply online without physically visiting the necessary centre.
The App will inform people and parents about the services and facilities available in DGSE centres and institutes, as well as FDE schools, for inclusive learning.
Last year, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) announced intentions to create four parks for differently abled individuals throughout the city.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced the decision in a post on X, which was previously known as Twitter.
During a meeting at the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) office, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab emphasised the KMC’s commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities.
The DEPD will take responsibility of the proposed parks, ensuring that they are transformed into fully accessible spaces.
