The OnePlus 11 introduced a brand-new design language for the series, with a massive camera island that resembled a stove.
The OnePlus 12 improved on this design by creating a circular iteration, which also served as inspiration for the recently released OnePlus Watch 2.
It appeared that OnePlus was on its way to developing its own design identity, comparable to Samsung and Apple, but the firm appears to be doing a complete 180-degree turn.
OnePlus 13
This is because the OnePlus 13 is expected to have a radically different design than its two predecessors.
The OnePlus 13 has just revealed in its first leaked render, indicating a possible break from the norm with its vertically positioned triple camera setup.
However, like with any early render, we recommend treating this one with caution, as the final design may alter.
After all, it appears to be a complete departure from OnePlus’s design identity, which has been developed over the course of two years.
Digital Chat Station, a reliable source, has commented on the OnePlus 13 rumours, confirming a new appearance and crucial specifications.
The forthcoming OnePlus flagship is expected to keep its 1,440 x 3,168px LTPO AMOLED display and reportedly include an improved triple camera system with a 50MP main camera, ultrawide and telephoto lenses.
Other projected features include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is set to arrive in October of this year with a new generation of Oryon processor cores.
The OnePlus 13 will also reportedly feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is considered to be faster and more accurate than optical counterparts.
