Motorola unveiled the Moto Edge X30, its flagship smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Moto Edge X30 Under Screen Edition, a special edition variant, will be available soon. The phone will have a selfie camera beneath the display, as the name suggests.
Chen Jin, General Manager of Lenovo China’s Mobile Phone Business, hinted that the device would be unveiled in China in March. The executive also took to Weibo to share a photo of the retail box for a limited-edition Moto X30 with an under-display camera sensor.
The handset, according to rumours, will have a 6.7-inch OLED panel with 1080p resolution, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and a 576Hz touch sampling rate for responsive performance.
It will also support HDR10+ and cover the entire DCI P3 colour gamut for exceptional colour accuracy. The fingerprint scanner will be located beneath the display.
The Edge X30 Under Screen Edition will have up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
The phone will have three cameras, one of which will be a 50MP sensor. It will run Android 12 and come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging.
