The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and its National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) shared a detailed report about the upcoming rainy season. They said Pakistan will have medium to very strong rain in July. This could cause floods and landslides in many places.
In Sindh, places like Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Larkana, and Sukkur could get 30-75 mm of rain all July. The 2nd and 4th weeks might have very heavy rains that could cause floods.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan, Malakand, and Hazara Divisions, there could be a little rain in the 3rd week and a lot more in the 4th week.
In Punjab, places like Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Islamabad could see 15-50 mm rain in early July. By the 4th week, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad might face floods. DG Khan might get hill floods, and Sahiwal, Multan, and Bahawalpur could see heavy rain.

In Astore District in Gilgit Baltistan and some places in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), there might be very heavy rain in the 4th week. This rain could make nearby rivers flood a lot.
Overall, medium to very strong rains could make rivers flood, towns flood, hills slide, and cause big floods from Glacier Lake Outbursts (GLOFs).
NDMA told people in charge, like the Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs), and others, to be prepared for serious problems that might come up. They also said it’s important to respond quickly when these problems happen.
Local leaders need to tell people who live near rivers when the water might rise. They should also help them move to safer places if they have to.
Everyone should be careful. Stay away from electric poles and buildings that shake. Don’t walk or drive in places that are flooded.
