The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has permitted a full house for Australia’s historic tour of Pakistan. The decision was made with the goal of reducing Covid-19 cases in the country in mind.
According to the details, fully vaccinated spectators over the age of 12 and children under the age of 12 who are not vaccinated are permitted to attend the matches. The spectators must adhere to strict Covid-19 protocols.
The NCOC decision comes after Pakistan hosted the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
While the capacity at National Stadium Karachi was initially limited to 25% due to the Covid-19 situation in the country at the time, it was increased for the Lahore leg of the tournament.
After February 16, the stadium could be filled to capacity, it means full house. The first Test match of Australia’s tour of Pakistan is scheduled for March 4 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The tour will include three Tests, as many ODIs, and one T20I. The limited-overs series will also be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the second and third Test matches will be held in Lahore and Karachi, respectively.
For the first three days of the first Test match, half of the tickets have already been sold. The remaining 50% of tickets are expected to be available soon.
