Motorola has just released a competitive mid-range phone to compete with the Redmi Note 11, Realme 9, and other popular phones on the market. The Moto G82 checks all the boxes for a dependable 2022 mid-ranger while also remaining reasonably priced.
Display and Design
The display is a 6.6-inch OLED with 1080p resolution and a smooth refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a centred punch-hole camera at the top with minimal surrounding bezels and covers the entire DCI P3 colour gamut. On the side, the fingerprint sensor also serves as the power button.
Internals and Storage
The phone’s chipset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, which competes in performance with the SD700 series. This will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot for expansion.
The phone boots straight into Android 12.
Cameras
A 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 118-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots comprise the main camera setup. This camera can only record 1080p video because the Snapdragon 695, despite being a modern chipset, does not support 4K video.
The selfie camera with a punch-hole is a 16MP shooter.
Battery and Pricing
For quick top-ups, the large 5,000 mAh battery supports 30W fast charging. Fortunately, the necessary fast charger is included in the retail box.
The Motorola Moto G82 will be available in Europe for €329 in Gray and White colour options. It will also be available in other markets around the world in the coming weeks.
