The 2022 games showcase was held at Meta, and it was packed with games that you can anticipate to play on your Quest 2 virtual reality headset later this year.
The VR port of Resident Evil 4 was a surprise revelation last year (and it turned out to be far better than expected), but numerous notable titles appear to be must-play experiences when they launch. If you missed the event, we’ve compiled a list of the most important announcements below.
Mark Zuckerberg concluded the presentation by stating that a Ghostbusters VR game is in the pipeline for the Quest 2. The game will have players operating their own Ghostbusters headquarters in San Francisco.
There aren’t many details (and it’s currently in production under a working title), but the game will have players running their own Ghostbusters headquarters in San Francisco. “Use legendary equipment to track, blast, and trap ghosts in compelling encounters,” the official description states. There’s no information on when the film will be released.
In RESIDENT EVIL 4, The Mercenaries mode is now available
Armature Studio has released the Mercenaries feature, which is a free update for everyone who buys Resident Evil 4 on the Oculus Store. It’s a timed challenge game in which your goal is to survive as long as possible while amassing the highest potential score. This version of the game includes online leaderboards, 20 additional challenges, and new unlockable such as large head mode, a black-and-white visual effect, and golden gun skins that may be used in the campaign as well.
Among us VR has a new trailer
The VR version of Among Us will be released by the end of 2022, according to InnerSloth, Robot Teddy, and Schell Games. A new trailer for the hit game’s VR adaption was also released. Schell Games, which also built blockbuster VR titles like I Expect You to Die, has revealed that it is working on three new projects with the Meta Studios team in addition to completing this one.
