Rumours are circulating about a new Vivo X100s, which are expected to launch in May and will be powered by a Dimensity 9300+ processor.
Although no specific date has been announced, a promising contender has emerged: MediaTek’s official statement confirms the 9300+ chip’s release on May 7.
While Vivo is not expressly mentioned, the announcement of the chipset may precede the phone’s release. However, the business does emphasise the AI capabilities that will shine on the new chipset, with the conference subject appropriately titled “AI for Everything”.
Dimensity 9300+
The flagship processor will be a Cortex X4 clocked at 3.4GHz, up from 3.25GHz on the Dimensity 9300.
The performance cores (four X4 cores) and efficiency cores (A720 cores) will operate at the same clock speeds of 2.85GHz and 2.0GHz, respectively.
AI will play a big part in both the new chipset and the future vivo X100s.
Vivo has supplied demo photographs that show how the phone may use generative AI to take a photo and change the weather.
While details concerning the 9300’s “APU” (AI Processing Unit) are scant, it is expected to get improvements alongside the CPU.
