The BYD Atto 3 EV has finally been introduced in Malaysia. The Atto 3 is priced as follows and is obtainable in two varieties, the Standard Range and Extended Range models:
BYD Atto 3 Standard Range – RM149,800 (PKR 76.54 lac)
BYD Atto 3 Extended Range – RM167,800 (PKR 85.73 lac)
A 6-year/150,000-kilometer warranty, an 8-year/160,000-kilometer battery warranty, and an 8-year/150,000-kilometer motor guarantee all apply to the electric crossover. BYD is also providing a free portable charger, a free vehicle-to-load (V2L) extension cable, and complimentary charging credits worth RM1,000 for units purchased during the launch period (PKR 51,095).
A single electric motor in the front of the Atto 3 EV generates 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. A 49.9kWh battery powers it, giving the Standard Range variant a 345km range. The Atto 3 can drive 420km on a single charge thanks to a bigger 60.5kWh battery in the Extended Range edition.
The Extended Range can handle 80kW of DC fast charging whereas the Standard Range can only handle 70kW, recharging the battery from empty to 80% in 45 minutes. It will take 9.5 hours to fully charge the larger battery when using an AC wallbox to charge the Atto 3 at a rate of up to 7kW.
