With sixteen teams from six groups having advanced to the competition’s knockout phases. The Euro 2024 is about to get underway.
16 Teams From 6 Groups
Group A saw Germany and Switzerland qualify.
The Group B saw Italy and Spain emerge from the Group of Death.
From Group C we saw England, Denmark, and Slovenia qualify.
Ralph Ragnik’s Austria defeated all odds to win the group. As the Netherlands, France, and Austria all made it through.
Surprisingly, Romania led Group E with just 4 points. Ahead of just Belgium and Slovakia, who both advanced to the Round of 16.
In their group, Georgia, Portugal, and Turkiye all made it through.

With debutante Georgia securing their spot in the round of 16 for the first time ever after an incredible victory over Portugal.
Opening Round of 16
On June 29, Saturday, Switzerland will play the defending champions, Italy, in the opening Round of 16 encounter; on June 30, Germany, the host nation, will play Denmark.
Favourites of the tournament England will play Slovakia on June 30. On July 1, in-form Spain will play tournament newcomers Georgia.
Deschamps, Didier In a highly anticipated match of the knockout stages, France will play Kevin De Bruyne’s Belgium on July 1 while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal will play Slovenia on July 2.
Toppers for tables On July 2, Romania will play Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands, and on July 3, Austria and Turkiye will play their last group stage encounter.
