The Punjab Inspector General of Police has appointed a female police officer as senior superintendent (SSP) of Lahore’s operations wing, as well as reshuffled six other officers, in a first.
Dr Anoosh Masood Chaudhry has been named head of the Lahore operations police, reporting to the Central Police Office (CPO) for future orders.
Dr. Anoosh is the first woman to be assigned to the position of SSP Operations in Lahore. She has worked as a police officer in the Cantonment and Model Town divisions of Lahore, as well as an assistant superintendent (ASP).
According to a notification issued here on Friday, pending posting SP Ejaz Ahmad has been transferred and posted as additional director at the Special Protection Unit, while awaiting posting SP Mohammad Umar Farooq has been transferred and placed as AIG complaints at the CPO (SPU).
Waiting posting SP Shoib Mahmood has been transferred and assigned to the CPO as AIG Logistics, awaiting posting SP Mohammad Faisal has been transferred and assigned to PC Rawalpindi as battalion commander, and Bahawalnagr SP Farooq Ahmad Awan has been transferred and assigned to the CPO as battalion commander.
