The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched the second phase of the Insaf Rozgar Scheme, which will provide loans of up to Rs. 1 million to young people to help them start their own businesses.
This was revealed at a meeting of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Planning and Development Department presided over by Shakeel Qadir, Additional Chief Secretary.
The initiative would cost the provincial government Rs. 700 million. Taimur Jhagra, KP’s Minister for Finance, stated on Tuesday that the provincial government was doing everything possible to provide opportunities for the merged districts’ young generation, including an interest-free loan.
He stated that the Bank of Khyber (BoK) will soon distribute the advertisements and that the initiative will help the youth become self-sufficient. Mahmood Khan, Chief Minister of KP, stated that interest-free loans for the province’s youth will encourage entrepreneurial spirit.
Under certain conditions, interest-free loans would be made available to low-income, unemployed men and women.
Taimur stated that it was an excellent opportunity for all KP citizens to obtain loans and start their own businesses anywhere in the country.
The KP government launched the Insaf Rozgar Scheme in 2019, and in 2020 it allocated Rs. 0.5 billion to the newly merged tribal districts as part of the scheme.
