Kia Lucky Motor Corp. (KLMC) has teased a new Pakistani edition of its famous Sportage SUV. While the company has yet to officially name the new variant, it has been dubbed ‘Black Edition’.

According to certain internet photographs, the SUV will have black paint, wheels, a grille, and other visual aspects to give it a sleek and attractive appearance.
“Get ready for an experience as extraordinary as a black rose,” the text teases, revealing possible specifics about the next model.

While specifics on the new variant’s features have yet to be revealed, the ‘Black Edition’ is expected to provide the same level of performance and technology as the standard Sportage lineup.
The same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 155 horsepower (hp) and 195 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque and a six-speed automated gearbox is expected.
Kia’s choice to launch a ‘Black Edition’ variant for the Pakistani market is puzzling, given that sales in the country are currently low due to ongoing economic and operational issues. Furthermore, price increases have had an impact on new car demand.
In comparison to its current competition, the Sportage is likewise getting a little old. A light refresh may pique the public’s curiosity.
For better or worse, SUVs are the most popular vehicle category in the United States, and Kia is teasing the production version of its impending EV9 electric SUV with a few new photographs and videos.
The EV9 will be interesting since it will be dimensionally similar to monstrously enormous SUVs like the Telluride or Cadillac Escalade, as well as its gold star smaller sibling, the EV6, which will come in 2021.
There aren’t many three-row electric vehicles available currently, let alone full-size ones like the EV9.
The Rivian R1S, Mercedes EQS, Model X, and, with a highly tight third-row seating option, the Model Y are among modern suburban family-hauling EV alternatives.
Only a silhouette of the EV9 is shown in the new media, which will be Kia’s second vehicle (after the EV6) built on Hyundai’s shared Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
Kia first unveiled the three-row concept EV9 in 2021, and this new teaser shows a more slanted windscreen, a slightly redesigned backside, animated front daytime-running LEDs and flush door handle cuts.
The whole design will be presented in mid-March, and more concrete details, including pricing and availability, will be given during Kia’s EV World Premiere event in late March.
