Winter vacations have been declared by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for all model schools and colleges in Islamabad.
According to the official statement, all model schools and colleges for boys and girls in Islamabad’s urban and rural districts would be closed from Monday, December 26 to Saturday, December 31.
It is worth remembering that the FDE has only formally announced six days of vacation. When the two Sundays on either side of the vacation period are included in, students have eight days to make the most of the winter season.
The announcement noted that educational activities will resume on Monday, January 2nd, and that teaching and non-teaching staff should not leave the station if any task/duty is allocated to them owing to Local Government (LG) elections.
Balochistan’s School Education Department (SED) announced long-term winter breaks for public and private schools in the province earlier this week.
Long-term winter holidays will be observed in all public and private schools in winter zone districts from December 16, 2022 to February 28, 2023.
All universities, colleges, governmental and private schools, tuition centres, and madrassas will be closed from November 26 to December 24.
