According to source, Apple plans to unveil AI-driven features for iOS 18 at the upcoming WWDC keynote on Monday. These features, collectively known as “Apple Intelligence,” creatively use the AI acronym.
Apple Intelligence
The advances made by Apple seek to increase efficiency and streamline daily tasks.
The incorporation of AI will be common throughout Apple’s system apps. For example, Safari’s AI may produce web page overviews.
Furthermore, in Messages and Mail, users are going to profit from improved reply suggestions and AI-driven algorithms that organise emails more efficiently, resulting in a cleaner inbox. Messages will also include summary alerts.
Apple’s Photos App
Apple’s Photos app is set to get advanced editing features, including a feature similar to Google Photos’ Smart Eraser.
Siri and Xcode are also expected to receive major enhancements, in particular for code creation, but the new features will not be available to the general public until next year.
However, Apple’s refreshes are not just about efficiency.
The launch of generative AI allows you to create emojis in real time that adapt to the setting of the user’s text. The ability will allow users to use emojis that are not listed by the Unicode group.
According to Gurman, Apple intends to use both on-device and cloud computing for some of its AI features, with OpenAI helping create these tools.
