Instagram is attempting to make its video content Reels lot longer than they were previously in order to compete with TikTok.
Instagram Reels lot longer
According to smartphone developer and tipster Alessandro Paluzzi, we will soon get up to 10-minute-long Reels.
10-minute duration
He also posted photos of the impending update, which show a side-by-side comparison.
The existing 3-minute Reels limitation and the increased 10-minute duration.

Meta and Instagram have yet to respond with an official word, but given Paluzzi’s track record for leaks.
There’s a good possibility we’ll see this feature sooner or later.
Furthermore, we know that rival apps these days introduce competing features quickly.
Increasing the length of Instagram Reels to 10 minutes puts them closer to many YouTube and TikTok videos.
TikTok with 20-minute videos
TikTok even added 20-minute videos to the platform, although these are only available to paying subscribers, allowing viewers to watch longer movies from their favourite content providers.
YouTube, on the other hand, has been concentrating on expanding its short-form content.
Earlier this year, the video-sharing giant began introducing more monetization options for YouTube Shorts.
Instagram has been working on improving Reels to increase interaction for quite some time.
Many of these upgrades are direct responses to TikTok features like editing tools and templates to assist you in creating viral content.
