WhatsApp now lets you share longer video statuses for better stories.
WhatsApp has announced that it is extending the video status length for some beta users. The Meta-owned messaging app allows users to have videos one minute long in their status. WABetaInfo reported this update. The limit was 30 seconds.
This change aligns WhatsApp with other apps owned by Meta, like Instagram and Messenger. These apps already let users post 60-second video statuses or stories.
Users can now make videos in the app or use videos they already have on their phone. They don’t need to split long videos into smaller ones anymore.
Having longer videos brings a few good things. First, it helps people tell longer, more natural stories. This makes the storytelling experience better.
Second, it makes the experience the same across different social media. That makes it easier for people to switch between apps without worrying about how long their videos are.
This new feature is part of WhatsApp’s plan to keep users happy and interested. It addresses the issue with the previous 30-second limit. WhatsApp wants to make its app smooth and fun for users.
Right now, only beta users can use this feature. Everyone will have access to it. This is a big change for the app and its users.
